Dr. Minish grew up on a cow/calf and grain farm in Southern Saskatchewan, then went on to obtain a degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan before moving on to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in 2006.

She moved to Claresholm after graduation and started a life here. She married her husband, Scott in 2013. They bought their dream acreage and continued to grow the size of their animal population after this move.

Krista’s love of animals has been obvious since she was a child. She loved going to calvings with her dad and looking after all of the farm cats. There were no other career options after reviving a baby kitten with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and having “Cody” for several years. She enjoys spending time in the yard with her many animals and plants. Most days you can meet Simon and Wrigley (the cats), or Aspen and Finley (the Catahoula dogs) at the clinic when they come to work with mom. She falls in love with each patient as they come through the door and makes them a priority when coming up with any treatment plan. All patients are treated as though they are her own animals (family).

Krista is also a big fan of technology which means everyone benefits from the most up to date equipment in the clinic as we strive to provide the best care possible. Quality and compassionate care is her goal for Willow Creek Veterinary Service.

Michelle Erdman, RVT

Michelle grew up in the small farming community of Black Diamond where her family raised cattle and custom farmed in and around the Foothills. Horses, cattle, cats, and dogs were part of everyday life sparking a passion that lead her to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.

After graduating high school, Michelle entered into the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College receiving her diploma in 1995. Then, a one-year excursion took her to Australia prior to settling into small animal practice for the next 30 years. She returned from Australia with some great memories, new friends, and, in true Vet Tech fashion, with an Australian Cattle Dog named Pennie in tow.

She has been part of Willow Creek Veterinary Service since its inception 12 years ago. She is always up for conversations pertaining to nutrition, weight management, behavior, and training tips and tricks.

Days off are spent working in her yard or at the family farm hanging out with her 3 horses, 2 Weimaraners, and a Siamese cat or 3.
